IS Auto Repairs ("we", "us") is a car repair business in Kingston, Jamaica, run by Ishmael. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, WhatsApp and phone, and how we handle it in line with the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020.

What we collect

• Details you send through our quote form or WhatsApp: your name, phone/WhatsApp number, area, vehicle make, model and year, the service needed and a description of the problem.
• Photos or videos of your vehicle that you choose to send us.
• Records of calls and messages with us about your repair.
• Basic technical data that our hosting provider logs automatically (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and performance.

How we use it

• To reply to you, prepare a quote, book and carry out work on your vehicle, and follow up afterwards.
• To keep basic job and payment records as required by Jamaican law.
• To keep this website secure and working properly.

Our lawful bases are your consent, steps you ask us to take before a service agreement, performing that agreement, and our legal obligations.

WhatsApp and phone

Our quote form opens WhatsApp with your message pre-filled; nothing is sent until you press send. Messages sent through WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., which may process technical data on servers outside Jamaica. We use it only to serve the site securely.

We never sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We only share it when needed to do your job (for example, ordering a part for your vehicle) or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep job records for as long as needed for the repair, any warranty claim and our legal and tax obligations, then delete them.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2020 you may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw your consent, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner (Jamaica).
