Coolant 101: keeping your engine cool in the Caribbean
Overheating is one of the most common breakdowns we see.
Use real coolant, not just water
Water alone boils sooner and rusts the system. Use the right coolant for your make (e.g., Toyota pink/red, Honda blue).

Check
- Level in the overflow when cold
- Hoses for softness or cracks
- Radiator fins for dirt and bugs
- Fan operation with AC on
Flush interval
Every 2–4 years depending on coolant type.
