How to jump-start a car safely
Do it in the right order to avoid damage.
Steps
- Red clip to dead battery positive
- Other red to good battery positive
- Black to good battery negative
- Last black to bare metal on the dead car, away from the battery
- Start the good car, wait 2 minutes, then start the dead car
- Remove in reverse order
